Typically analyzed as part of a Department of Defense (DoD) project or program, Explosives are analyzed using EPA Method 8330B on aqueous and solid samples from environmental sites at military bases, artillery ranges, ammunition plants, and other DoD facilities. The list of common explosive compounds includes HMX, RDX, DNTs, TNTs, tetryl, nitrobenzene, 1,3,5-trinitrobenzene, 1,3-dinitrobenzene, and 3,5-dintroaniline using the 8330B HPLC UV method. In addition, Pace performs EPA 8332 for Nitroglycerin and pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN). Nitroglycerin and PETN are highly explosive organic compounds that are found on DoD sites. Pace is a DoD ELAP –certified laboratory and is compliant with the DoD Quality Systems Manual.
