Pace Analytical Services conducts Biological Tissue (Biota) analysis in Green Bay, WI laboratory, and the Minneapolis, MN POPs laboratory. Pace has more than twenty years experience in the analysis of biological tissue. Tissue analysis is significantly more challenging than the traditional environment matrices of soil, water and air; consequently, the biota lab has developed propriety methodologies for tissue extraction and analysis to insure accurate measurement of persistent contaminants in these matrices. Because much of this work takes place at impacted wetlands and waterways, related methods such as low level Mercury testing by method 1631 and AVS/SEM are also offered. When risk assessment calls for analytical work that goes beyond established methodology, the Pace Analytical Biota Laboratory offers method development for non-standard, site-specific substances. The Biota Laboratory's range of matrices includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Fish and amphibians
  • Animal tissue and target organs
  • Plant Life and Insects
  • Sediment and sediment dwelling macroinvertebrates
  • Birds and bird eggs
