MUNICIPALITIES: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PFAS
Currently, there are no federal regulations setting limits for PFAS in drinking water, wastewater, solid waste, etc. Because of this, some states have set their own limits, but there is no uniformity between these states. Nor is there uniformity between testing methods and controls on testing. This makes it hard for municipalities to know what course of action to take regarding PFAS.
Regardless of whether you are in a state with set limits or not, Pace has been helping municipalities and public water systems develop their PFAS testing and analysis programs to either get ahead of regulatory requirements, mitigate public pressure (and litigation) and/or ensure compliance with state guidelines. We know that each municipality has unique circumstances to consider.
For guidance on the current PFAS landscape, we have some excellent resources for information.
