Pace Analytical Life Sciences (PLS) operates a 40,000 square foot state of the art contract analytical laboratory that provides microbial identification (ID) testing for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device industries.

At PLS we continue to distinguish ourselves by offering the newest and most cutting edge techniques for rapid microbial identification and characterization.  We are able to partner with you in providing consultation about the most appropriate technology along with feasibility studies on your product.  Pace Analytical Life Sciences employs the DuPont Qualicon RiboPrinter® System for organism identification.  Using riboprinter, riboprinting or ribotyping technology our lab can provide rapid, within 8 hours, identification of bacteria beyond the level of genus and species to the strain level with efficient and consistent characterization.  This system can provide historical data for tracking and trending of results allowing for a comprehensive portrait of your microbial environment.  For mold identification and yeast identification we employ the use of the Tape Lift method.  Both methods aide in support of the FDA suggested compliance guidelines for aseptic processing and identification and characterization testing of biological contaminants.  Rapid microbial identification can result in longer term cost savings in contrast to other methods that can take up to 14 days. We also perform gram stains.
