Organics Manager
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the organics department, which includes semivolatiles and volatiles. Plan, coordinate, and direct the operations of the assigned departments to meet holding times; provide data of appropriate quality; and deliver analytical reports on time. Manager must be aware of budget requirements and profitability goals. Manager will report to the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager
Responsibilities:
- Review all analytical work for integrity of data and compliance with quality standards
- Supervise staff assigned to the section, ensuring quality of service, technical competence of staff, productivity and technical expansion
- Motivate staff through feedback and clear definition of expectations
- Promote a high degree of morale
- Evaluate section personnel by conducting interviews for potential hires and conduct performance reviews
- Access training needs and conduct training classes
- Serve a primary communication line to section personnel for information and application of policies and procedures
- Participate in development of the annual expense budget for the section
- Initiate ways to help group improve and minimize down time
- Demonstrate dependability in the completion of assignments, within quality, budget and time requirements
- Maintain effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions or while performing a variety of assignments
- Awareness of all expenditures within department to ensure group meets profitability goals
- Ensure compliance of Pace Analytical Services, Inc. Policies & Standard Operating Procedures to include safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in chemistry or science related from four-year college or university; plus seven or more years related experience; including three plus years of supervisory experience Interested candidates should contact:

Quality Manager
Directly responsible for ensuring the overall quality performance of the Kansas laboratory. This includes successfully facilitating the total quality program efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate data integrity and validity; recommend and monitor corrective actions as appropriate
- Maintains laboratory certifications required to serve local clients, state agencies and federal programs
- Coordinates visits and responses to external audits; conducts appropriate laboratory audits to ensure departments are performing work in accordance with most current SOP's for each task; coordinates pre-audit information gathering and post-audit responses for Pace corporate quality laboratory audits
- Obtains, maintains files and communicates to appropriate personnel any information required to ensure work is performed in a manner consistent with regulatory agency requirements and in the best interest of Pace and its clients
- Coordinates the review and revision of the Laboratory Quality Assurance Plan (a working document which must be updated to represent the actual procedures and protocols being used in the laboratory)
- Coordinate the development process of the Standard Operating Procedures for all analytical tests performed in the laboratory
- Coordinate the preparation and review of Quality Assurance Project Plans
- Initiate and coordinate inter-laboratory QC programs with the Corporate Quality office
Requirements:
- BA/BS in chemistry or related science
- Minimum of 8 years total experience with 3 - 5 years experience in the environmental services industry
- Broad knowledge of laboratory program activities

Semi Volatiles Supervisor
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the semi-volatiles organics department.
Plan, coordinate, and direct the operations of the organic prep, GC and GC/MS semivolatile departments to meet holding times; provide data of appropriate quality; and deliver analytical reports on time. Supervisor must be aware of budget requirements and profitability goals.
The Semi Volatiles Supervisor will report to the Assistant General Manager.
