Instrument Services Specialist II
Summary:
Responsible for providing intellectual problem solving solutions and advanced level instrument support service to customers of the I.S.G. group, including but not limited to external clients, laboratory supervisors within the Pace environment lab system, and co-workers of the I.S.G. needing problem solving techniques beyond their capability
Responsibilities:
- Evaluation of used equipment for market value determination
- Instrument preventive maintenance & performance testing, performance testing protocol development
- Software installation and troubleshooting
- System design, installation, troubleshooting, and repair on analytical equipment valued at up to $300,000
- On-site and/or telephone customer analytical support
- Provide training on analytical systems for users/supervisors at all experience levels
- I.S.G. Support Center facility maintenance
- Specialize in 1-3 categories of analytical services
- Periodically review the activities of the I.S.S. staff to ensure Pace and/or customer QA regulatory compliance
- Maintain positive relationships between the I.S.S. staff and customer contacts
- Design problem solving techniques/flowcharts to be used by co-workers and/or customers as necessary
- Assist the database administrator with keeping the electronic records database current
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university or 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
