Environmental Field Technician

Pace Analytical Services, Inc., a leading national analytical laboratory, has an immediate opening for an Environmental Field Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Set up sampling equipment and flow monitors
  • Maintenance of equipment (cleaning and repairs)
  • Construct and install primary flow measurement devices
  • Complete Chain of Custodies
  • Interact with clients

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in related field BS preferred but not required
  • Must have a valid drivers license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.  Physical requirements include walking, bending, and carrying.  Must have hand and finger dexterity, the ability to lift 100 lbs and climb stairs while carrying samples
  • Position requires work outside in all weather conditions and daily Monday through Thursday 6 AM - 3 PM
  • Travel between Export, PA and Steubenville, OH.  Company vehicle is provided for travel.

Laboratory Analyst - General Chemistry

Requirements:

  • A 2-year degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience in analytical/environmental chemistry required

Laboratory Analyst - Organic Prep

  • Position is full time, Monday through Friday, 2 PM - 10:30 PM, with some overtime and possibly Saturday hours
  • Candidate should have an AS or BS in Science or equivalent years of lab experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Laboratory Analyst - Radiochemistry

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze or prepare samples in an efficient and organized manner, using approved
  • Follow Pace Analytical methodologies
  • Prepare Reagents
  • Keep log books up to date
  • Keep the laboratory clean and safe
  • Dispose of samples
  • Assist other laboratory personnel with analysis, data check and approval and handle mathematical calculations
  • Provide maintenance of stock reagents and lab supplies.  This position would prepare and analyze a wide variety samples using radiochemical techniques and instrumental methods for radioactivity

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 2-year degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience in analytical/environmental chemistry required
  • Candidate should be self-motivated, ambitious, hard working, and able to work independently with an eye for attention to detail
  • Must be able to multitask efficiently and work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Hours are approximately 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday with overtime

  • Process incoming environmental samples
  • Prepare and send shipments using Fedex and UPS terminals
  • Enter sample information to a Window's based computer system
  • Distribute incoming lab supplies

Requirements:

  • Position is full time, Tuesday through Friday, 10:30 PM - 7:30 PM, Saturday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Candidate should have an AS or BS in Science or equivalent years of lab experience
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
