Title:
Programmer - Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of data processing solutions to business problems through the use of user interface, analytical skills, programming techniques and through testing practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Coding, testing, debugging and installing program/reports that would be considered medium in complexity
  • Resolving production problems
  • Assisting users in the development of business requirements for a system/program/report enhancement
Requirements:
  • Bachelors or two-year degree in data processing or equivalent technical experience
  • 1 - 3 years of previous computer programming experience
  • Fluency in two or more programming languages
  • Chemistry background with programming experience with LIMS helpful
  • Programming experience with MS/Access, Visual Basic
  • Database experience with Oracle, MS/SQL
  • Reporting experience with Actutate, Crystal reports or similar report generation applications
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
