Corporate IT - Oracle Database Administrator
Responsible for supporting the Oracle databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system
- Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance
- To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
- Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management
- Responsible for problem escalation to Programming teams and third parties as appropriate
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
- Responsible for implementing and following change control, testing and programming policies and procedures
- Maintain documentation on databases including: ERD, DB Scripts, Meta Data
- Evaluate, install, test and implement new hardware and software for data servers
- Support existing and new applications
Requirements:
- Preferred 6+ years Oracle Database Administration and Support experience
- Experience of managing multiple RDBMS on large systems
- Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service
- Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service
- Experience with hardware installations and upgrades
- Experience with storage area networks and network attached storage
- Experience with setting-up and managing virtual machines
- Experience with performance monitoring, stats and reorganizations
- Experience with backup and recovery of large databases
- Experience of other database systems, preferably SQL Server
- Practical experience in managing internal and external database security
- Oracle Certification or equivalent experience

Corporate Quality, Training and Safety Assistant
Responsibilities include managing, controlling, and distributing all corporate technical documents and materials and other duties as needed. This consists of, but not limited to, all corporate Standard Operating Procedures and the Pace Quality Manual. Position will also assist in Training and Safety activities at the corporate level. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities:
- Creating, reviewing, revising, and controlling corporate documents including Corporate SOPs, forms, checklists, and Trainer's Guides.
- Maintaining the master document list for the company and archiving of all documents for historical purposes.
- Maintaining company-wide information related to the followiing areas and responding to requests for information related to RFPs: i. Capabilities; ii. Certifications; iii. SOPs and other controlled documents
- Reviewing and revising sales materials related to certification, equipment, capabilities, facilities, and SOPs
- Clerical duties as needed
- Assisting in the production of reports to senior corporate staff
- Assisting with 3P documentation
- Support for editing and creating checklists/worksheets for various job specific training plans
- Provide support creating new training materials as needed
- Other duties that may be needed in support of corporate quality, safety, and training
Requirements:
- BS/BA in chemistry or related science
- Broad knowledge of laboratory program activities
- Minimum of one year related experience in the environmental services industry
- Microsoft Office skills required
- Must have strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office

Java Software Engineer
Responsible for involvement in the full software development life cycle of an internet-based application. Will be responsible for the architecture, design requirements collection, coding, testing and deployment of the application and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy and support enterprise applications using Struts, JSP, Servlets, JavaMail, Spring, Spring MVC, JNDI, JSTL, JavaScript, Hibernate, PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of potential future technologies XML, XSLT, XML Schema, DTD, WSDL, Axis, JAXP.
- Self Motivated to delve into new industry and obtain detailed understanding of complex data structures and business rules.
- SQL programming and relational database modeling/concepts including JDBC.
- Work with architectural/development methodologies and design patterns. Solid understanding of use case role in project lifecycle. Creat architectural and design documents.
- Solid understanding of current Java development Paradigms.
- Ability to communicate design ideas.
- Management of analysis, design and development infrastructure and methodologies.
- Working environment requires knowledge of Junit test framework, Maven, Hudson, preferred IDE Eclipse, SVN/Tortoise, Tomcate use of SSH Tool (such as Putty). SFTP file transfer utility (WinSCP), familiarity with basic Unix/Linusx command line.
Requirements:
- Four year degree college or university
- 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of educational experience
